The National Burglar & Fire
Alarm Association (NBFAA) was founded in 1948 and is
the nation's oldest and largest association “dedicated
to representing, promoting, and supporting the electronic
life safety, security, and systems industry.” NBFAA
works largely through its state associations to perform “grass
roots” functions and enables members to work
together with the national agency for industry information,
professional development tools, products, and services.

to obtain this advanced designation.
